Gauge works well and gives you plenty of time to plan for swapping out old tank or having it refilled. Gauge has three scales allowing user to adjust interpretation of reading based on ambient tempertatures.Haven't tried the cheaper guages that stick to outside of tank so can't comment on how well they work, though they are less expensive.
